Hoosier nation, we did it! We have officially claimed the title of College Football Playoff National Champions, and we now have 52 weeks to relish in our success.
The recent victory marks the culmination of an exceptional football season that has showcased Indiana University’s remarkable capabilities. Celebrating in Miami, IU’s triumph in the College Football Playoff National Championship represents a collective achievement for all of us. The camaraderie among players, the dedicated preparation from coaches, the relentless efforts of the staff behind the scenes, and the unwavering support from fans all played crucial roles in this historic moment.
This season, each of you demonstrated an incredible commitment. You are an integral part of this journey, helping the team break viewership and attendance records while bringing unmatched enthusiasm and pride. Coach Curt Cignetti aptly noted that “the whole is greater than the sum of its parts,” and that spirit was evident throughout the season.
Under the leadership of Scott Dolson and his outstanding athletics department, we have established ourselves as National Champions thanks to the tireless dedication of Coach Cignetti, his staff, and our committed student-athletes. Players like Fernando have etched their names into Hoosier lore, with contributions from D’Angelo, Mikail, Elijah, Omar, and Charlie delivering countless unforgettable moments on the field. The leadership and work ethic displayed by Pat and Aiden were particularly inspiring and a joy to witness.
Whether you’ve been a season ticket holder for years or are a new fan, your support has been remarkable, and you donned cream and crimson with pride. Together, young and old, you propelled IU to the pinnacle of college football, earning the right to recount this incredible journey to future generations.
