The Housing Authority has announced the appointment of Isikeli Navuda as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1. This significant change in leadership comes as Navuda, boasting over 30 years of industry experience, steps into the role after an 18-month period as Acting CEO. His extensive career includes key positions such as General Manager of Lending Operations and General Manager of Land & Housing Development, which equip him with the expertise needed to address the Authority’s present challenges.
Board Chairperson Sereana Qoro underscored the critical nature of Navuda’s appointment, particularly given the Authority’s pressing objectives, notably the provision of residential lots and affordable homes. She emphasized the expectation that Navuda will focus on optimizing operational efficiency and ensuring projects are completed on time.
Navuda himself has pledged to adopt a collaborative approach, working closely with the management team, the Ministry of Housing, and various stakeholders. His goal is to implement solutions that make affordable housing accessible to Fijian families, reflecting the Authority’s commitment to supporting national housing strategies and governmental policies.
This transition in leadership is viewed as a chance for the Housing Authority to achieve substantial advancements in the housing sector. Navuda’s seasoned leadership and strategic foresight are expected to adeptly handle the complexities associated with housing development, with an emphasis on providing sustainable and affordable housing solutions. Optimism surrounds this new phase for the Authority, as stakeholders anticipate that Navuda will successfully guide the organization in reaching its ambitious objectives.
