Isco Set for La Liga Cameo as Betis Host Girona on Sunday

Real Betis Balompié and Girona have announced their starting lineups for the upcoming match this Sunday at the Estadio de La Cartuja, part of matchday 13 of LALIGA EA SPORTS. Both teams feature some noteworthy changes.

The spotlight is undoubtedly on Isco Alarcón, a player that Betis fans are eager to see in action again. Although Isco is included in the squad, he is not starting the match, with indications suggesting he may come off the bench in the second half. This will give him some playing time before an important European fixture against Utrecht and the anticipated derby against Sevilla FC next Sunday.

Under the management of Manuel Pellegrini, Real Betis will be fielding a team consisting of Valles; Bellerín, Bartra, Natan, Valentín Gómez; Marc Roca, Pablo Fornals; Antony, Lo Celso, Rodrigo Riquelme; and Cucho Hernández. Notable inclusions in the starting eleven are Marc Roca and Rodrigo Riquelme, who replace Moroccan players Amrabat and Abde in the lineup.

Taking a seat on the bench will be Adrián San Miguel, Aitor Ruibal, Diego Llorente, Junior Firpo, Ricardo Rodríguez, Nelson Deossa, Amrabat, Ez Abde, Isco, Chimy Ávila, Pablo García, and Bakambu. Pellegrini confirmed the last-minute exclusion of Sergi Altimira due to gastroenteritis, impacting his availability for the match.

On the other hand, Míchel is looking to secure points in Sevilla with his Girona team, which will feature Gazzaniga; Hugo Rincón, Arnau, Reis, Álex Moreno; Ounahi, Witsel, Iván Martín; Tsygankov, Bryan Gil, and Vanat. A significant change in Míchel’s lineup is the inclusion of Hugo Rincón, who steps in for Daley Blind. Additionally, Álex Moreno returns to play against Betis in Sevilla for the first time since his transfer to Aston Villa.

The Girona bench will include Livakovic, Andreev, Joel Roca, Stuani, Abel Ruiz, Asprilla, Jhon Solis, Gibi, Salguero, and Papa.

Both teams seem well-prepared for an exciting match, with significant player dynamics at play. Isco’s potential return to the pitch could add an intriguing twist to the game, further intensifying the anticipation surrounding what promises to be a thrilling encounter this Sunday.
