AirNav Ireland has expressed hopes for resolution talks to address these staffing issues. Eoghan Corry, editor of Travel Extra, shared insights on Newstalk, emphasizing that the situation could lead to a tense experience for passengers. He pointed out the lack of recruitment within air traffic control has not met the necessary demand. Corry reported that there have already been ten incidents this year, occurring during what is typically a quieter period in aviation. He cautioned that without significant improvements, the expected influx of travelers in the summer may exacerbate the existing challenges.
