The recent Inter-Hotel Tournament successfully brought together tourism professionals from across various sectors for two days filled with friendly competition and a commitment to community support. Percy Bechu, the events director, highlighted that this year’s tournament aimed to fulfill three primary objectives: supporting the Loloma Home, the Christian Leukemia Foundation, and the Narewa Methodist Church.

Bechu emphasized the significance of the event, stating, “To be able to put this event together and see everything come to life means a great deal.” This atmosphere of friendship and sportsmanship not only showcased athletic skills but also strengthened the camaraderie among hotel and tourism workers. The unity created during the event was palpable, both in the competitive spirit and the supportive interactions off the field.

Anne Pesamino, representing the Pesamino Foundation, expressed her gratitude towards the event’s focus on philanthropy, noting the foundation’s appreciation in being one of the beneficiaries this year.

The tournament concluded with an exhilarating schedule that featured rugby 7s, netball, and volleyball, attracting an impressive turnout of 86 teams vying for top honors.
