This week, I had the pleasure of interviewing a remarkable individual, Dana Perino, who is widely recognized as the co-host of “The Five,” the top cable news show. Alongside her role on “The Five,” Dana also co-anchors “America’s Newsroom” on Fox News and previously served as the White House Press Secretary under President George W. Bush. Recently, she released her New York Times Bestselling book, “I Wish Someone Had Told Me.”
During our engaging conversation, I asked Dana several questions about her career and personal experiences:
I was curious about the challenges of writing a book and how long it took her to complete “I Wish Someone Had Told Me.” Dana shared insights into her writing journey and the dedication required to finalize her thoughts into a cohesive book.
I also inquired if she ever envisioned being part of the number one show in cable TV news. Her journey to the top is inspiring, showcasing the hard work and perseverance it takes to succeed in media.
Reflecting on our previous chat, where braces were a topic of discussion, I asked her for any advice now that I’m gearing up to wear them. Dana’s experiences resonated with me as she shared tips from her own past orthodontic journey.
Additionally, I explored her personal preferences by asking who she would choose for a dream dinner guest and her all-time favorite book, bringing a personal touch to the interview.
Dana also offered kind words about her co-hosts from “The Five,” expressing what she appreciates about Greg, Jesse, Jessica, and Harold. It was heartwarming to hear her thoughts on teamwork and camaraderie in such a high-pressure environment.
We shared a moment reflecting on her dog, Jasper, and whether she has plans to write about her other pet, Percy, which led to light-hearted chatter about her love for animals.
To wrap up our conversation, I asked her about her summer plans, her communication with former President Bush, and the best advice she could give as I prepare for middle school.
