Injury-hit Giants Clash With Chargers: Will Thomas Spark the Offense?

The New York Giants, still seeking their first win of the season, are set to face off against the undefeated Los Angeles Chargers at MetLife Stadium this Sunday. The Giants, struggling with injuries, will be without several key players, including running back Tyrone Tracy Jr., who is sidelined for up to four weeks due to a separated shoulder sustained in a match against the Kansas City Chiefs. Additionally, kicker Graham Gano will miss the game because of a groin injury with no set return date.

On a more positive note for the Giants, All-Pro left tackle Andrew Thomas is expected to play on Sunday, with plans to increase his playtime, which was limited to 28 snaps in the previous week. However, there is still a chance that rookie Marcus Mbow might replace him during the game if deemed necessary.

As for the Giants’ opponents, the Los Angeles Chargers, they will also be missing some players. Offensive lineman Mekhi Becton and wide receiver Derius Davis are both out due to injuries, alongside tight end Will Dissly.

The game promises to be a challenging encounter for the Giants as they strive to overturn their winless start to the season. Facing a strong opponent in the Chargers, the Giants will need to overcome their injury setbacks and show resilience on the field.
