Taylor Rousseau Grigg, a 25-year-old TikTok influencer known for her lifestyle content, has passed away. Her husband, Cameron Grigg, shared the news of her “sudden and unexpected” death on Instagram on October 5, accompanied by a GoFundMe campaign detailing her passing.
Cameron expressed the pain of losing Taylor at such a young age, stating, “No one ever expects to have to deal with this kind of pain and heartache, especially at our age.” The cause of death has not been officially stated.
Taylor had previously spoken to her 1.4 million followers about her health struggles. In an August 8 TikTok video, she revealed that although she had once been “very athletic,” she had not felt healthy for an extended period. She mentioned that she fell ill shortly after her wedding in August 2023 and only discovered the nature of her illness a few months before the video.
During that video, Taylor described the challenges of her condition, saying, “I was struggling that whole time feeling like I was going to die.” She expressed frustration that, at 24, she was unable to perform simple tasks that she felt she should be able to do.
Taylor disclosed that she had received a diagnosis but chose not to share its specifics. She stated that the attention her health issues attracted often led to unsolicited advice, which she preferred to avoid.
Cameron Grigg noted in his Instagram tribute that Taylor had been “in and out of the hospital” since their marriage. He emphasized her resilience, stating, “This past year Taylor has dealt with more pain and suffering than most people do in a lifetime,” while still being a source of joy to those around her.
In his announcement, Cameron also revealed that Taylor would be donating her organs, stating, “Her earthly body is still here with us being run by machines to keep her organs viable for donation.” Representatives confirmed that her organs will be given to pediatric patients, describing it as something Taylor would have greatly appreciated, given her desire to help others.
Cameron set up a GoFundMe campaign due to the financial strain caused by her illness. Taylor, who gained popularity on TikTok for sharing her marriage, her dog, her faith, and her rural lifestyle, last posted a video on September 26 after a vet visit.
In closing his post, Cameron addressed Taylor’s followers, assuring them she was free from pain. “While her earthly body is still here waiting to give the gift of life, we know her spirit is in heaven dancing in the streets made of gold with all her beauty and grace,” he wrote.
