The NDN Collective is excited to announce an Indigenous Peoples’ Day celebration, featuring a march and a free concert in Mni Luzahan, also known as downtown Rapid City, South Dakota. This event promises a vibrant mix of music, dance, food, traditional artistry, and an avenue for political education and cultural celebration, aiming to foster community action and envision a hopeful future.

Beginning with a march at the Bandshell in Memorial Park from 1-2 pm, participants will honor the collective resilience, resistance, and rich culture of Indigenous peoples. This march will be a symbolic gesture of unity and strength. The day’s festivities will continue with an exciting lineup of musical performances, art displays, and more.

The 2025 concert will showcase various talented artists. Headlining acts include AntoineX and MIRACLE, while musical performances will feature artists such as Nevad Brave, The Bearhead Sisters, Xiuhtezcatl, Mic Jordan, Isaac Tonasket, Santee Witt, Nanibaah, and Hawane Rios. Moreover, Macklemore will deliver a special performance. Spoken word performances will be provided by Autumn White Eyes and Pte San Win, and Jana Schmieding will offer a comedy act. The event will also showcase a short animation film, “POW!” by Joey Clift.

Attendees can enjoy the musical mixes of DJ WillieMaze and the beats of Blackstone Singers’ drum group. For those unable to attend in person, NDN LIVE will stream the event across all platforms, ensuring that everyone can partake in this day of community and celebration.
