Among the notable acknowledgment, the InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa received a Highly Commended designation in the Fijian Luxury Resort category. The IHG Hotels Fiji portfolio also celebrated multiple individual awards: it was named the South Pacific Winner for Human Resources Initiative, showcasing the company’s dedication to employee development. Additionally, Sotia Tikoimatuku was honored as the Human Resource Associate of the Year, while Sikeli Nailesu earned the title of Concierge of the Year. Lachlan Walker, the Regional General Manager of IHG Hotels and Resorts for Fiji and the Pacific, expressed immense pride in these accomplishments, emphasizing the importance of people in Fiji’s hospitality landscape. He remarked, “Fiji’s greatest asset has always been its people. These awards honor the individuals who transform every stay into a story worth remembering, not through grandeur, but through genuine care and cultural pride. I am incredibly proud of our teams across all three hotels for setting a standard that extends beyond our shores.”
The accolades received at the HM Aotearoa-Pacific Awards not only spotlight the high quality of IHG Fiji’s hospitality services but also reflect the commitment of its staff to deliver exceptional customer experiences that embody the rich culture of the Fijian people. As the hospitality industry in Fiji thrives, these honors serve as a promising sign of the ongoing dedication of IHG and its teams, fostering a bright future for tourism in the region.
