Walter Mazzantti’s transfer to Independiente has created a significant void on Huracán’s right flank that will be challenging to fill, both in terms of player quality and on-field contributions. However, the Club’s management has acted swiftly to secure a replacement, bringing in Juan Bisanz, a 23-year-old winger formerly with Banfield.
Huracán is reportedly purchasing 50% of Bisanz’s rights for approximately one million dollars, along with waiving a debt that Banfield owes to Leandro Garate, a forward associated with Huracán. While an official confirmation is pending, Bisanz is expected to finalize his contract in the coming hours, committing to the club until December 2028. This move marks him as Frank Darío Kudelka’s first reinforcement.
Juan Bisanz has emerged as a promising player, having progressed through Atlanta, where he initially impressed by scoring five goals and providing six assists in 43 appearances. Banfield acquired half of his rights for $600,000 at the beginning of 2023. Bisanz reached notable heights in his career, even being called up by Javier Mascherano to train with the U23 national team in preparation for the Pre-Olympic tournament, although he did not participate in the competition.
However, his journey hit a setback early in 2024 when he suffered a serious anterior cruciate ligament injury during a friendly match, which hindered his ability to regain his prior form. During his time with Banfield, he played a total of 68 matches, netting eight goals and contributing three assists.
In addition to Bisanz’s arrival, Huracán has been active in the transfer market following the departures of Marco Pellegrino to Boca and Franco Watson returning from a loan at Lanús. The club is keen on reinforcing positions that have seen recent departures, with a particular focus on acquiring a central defender and a creative midfielder.
Overall, the swift actions taken by Huracán showcase the club’s ambition to build a competitive squad amid ongoing transitions. As they look to fill critical roles, fans can remain optimistic about the strategic choices being made to enhance the team’s attacking options with new talents like Bisanz and Ignacio Maestro Puch, who is expected to join on loan. The upcoming season could see a rejuvenated Huracán making a significant impact in the league.
