SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The EPIC Impact Society has awarded humanitarian photographer Lisa Kristine the prestigious Artist Award of 2024.
In its recent announcement, the EPIC Awards recognized Lisa Kristine for her remarkable contributions as a photographer and humanitarian. Alongside other honorees and industry leaders, Kristine has shared valuable insights and experiences in areas such as innovation, education, and entertainment. The EPIC Community Artist Award is given to individuals who inspire their communities and foster positive transformations.
Kristine has traveled to over 150 countries across six continents, capturing the essence of humanity through her work. She advocates for causes like indigenous wisdom, global unity, and the fight against modern slavery, striving to mobilize resources and raise awareness with the goal of instigating significant change in the global community.
Her photography has taken her to audiences around the world, including speaking engagements at the United Nations, Parliament, Nobel Summits, Davos, and the Vatican. Her TED talk titled “Photos That Bear Witness to Modern Slavery” has garnered over three million views.
David Clarke, the former Head of Photography at the Tate Modern, praised her work as “a testament to truth and an insightful and inspiring body of evidence which should never and can never be denied.” Kristine’s efforts have received accolades from prominent figures, including Pope Francis and The Dalai Lama. Her impactful photography has earned her several awards, including the Lucie Humanitarian Award, which was presented at Carnegie Hall.
The Photographic Society of America recognized her with the IUTP Award, honoring her significant contributions to fostering understanding through photography.
