SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The EPIC Impact Society has awarded the Artist Award of 2024 to humanitarian photographer Lisa Kristine.
This year, Lisa Kristine is among several honorees recognized at the EPIC Awards, which showcase leaders from various fields providing insights on innovation, education, and entertainment. The EPIC Community Artist Award honors individuals who inspire their communities and drive positive change.
Lisa Kristine has traveled to over 150 countries on six continents, connecting with people on a profound level. She advocates for causes like indigenous wisdom, global unity, and the fight against modern slavery, using her platform to raise awareness and mobilize resources to foster significant changes in the global community.
Kristine’s impactful work has been presented to international audiences, including at the United Nations, the Vatican, and during Nobel Summits. Her TED talk titled “Photos That Bear Witness to Modern Slavery” has garnered over three million views.
Her photography has been praised as “a testament to truth” by David Clarke, the former Head of Photography at the Tate Modern. Kristine’s accomplishments have attracted endorsements from notable figures, including Pope Francis and The Dalai Lama. She has also received several awards, such as the Lucie Humanitarian Award, which was presented to her at Carnegie Hall.
Furthermore, the Photographic Society of America honored her with the IUTP Award for her significant contributions to fostering understanding among people through photography.
The upcoming EPIC Summit 2024, themed “Distinct Discoveries: A Defining Moment for Creative Leadership,” will be held from September 23 to September 25, 2024, at the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, CA. The event aims to provide professionals from various sectors with transformative experiences to cultivate their creative leadership skills.
As the world becomes increasingly complex, this summit offers participants a chance to step away from technology and fixed mindsets, encouraging them to explore new insights that can inspire creativity and innovation in both their professional and personal lives.
