SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Humanitarian photographer Lisa Kristine has been awarded the Artist Award of 2024 by the EPIC Impact Society.
Lisa Kristine is among the distinguished honorees at this year’s EPIC Awards, which celebrates individuals excelling in various fields, including innovation, education, and entertainment. The EPIC Community Artist Award honors those who have made a significant impact within their communities, leading to positive transformations.
Kristine has dedicated her career to capturing the essence of humanity in over 150 countries across six continents. She is a passionate advocate for critical issues such as indigenous wisdom, global unity, and the fight against modern slavery, using her photography to raise awareness and mobilize support for these causes. Her mission is focused on igniting meaningful changes within the global community.
Throughout her career, Kristine has spoken to audiences around the world at high-profile events, including the United Nations, Parliament, and the Vatican. Her TED Talk, “Photos That Bear Witness to Modern Slavery,” has garnered over three million views, underscoring the impact of her work.
Her photography has received high praise, with David Clarke, former Head of Photography at the Tate Modern, describing it as “a testament to truth and an insightful and inspiring body of evidence.” She has received endorsements from notable figures like Pope Francis and The Dalai Lama and has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Lucie Humanitarian Award.
Additionally, Kristine has been honored with the IUTP Award by the Photographic Society of America for her significant contributions to fostering understanding among people through photography.
The EPIC Summit 2024, taking place from September 23 to September 25 at the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, offers a transformative experience for professionals seeking to enhance their creative leadership skills.
