SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The EPIC Impact Society has awarded humanitarian photographer Lisa Kristine the Artist Award for 2024.
In a recent announcement, the EPIC Awards recognized Lisa Kristine among several honorees, highlighting her contributions as a humanitarian photographer. The awards celebrate leaders in various fields who share their expertise in innovation, education, and entertainment. The EPIC Community Artist Award is given to individuals who inspire their communities and drive positive change.
Lisa Kristine has traveled to over 150 countries on six continents, using her photography to connect with individuals on a deep emotional level. She advocates for issues such as indigenous rights, global unity, and the fight against modern slavery, leveraging her art to raise awareness and mobilize support, all aimed at creating transformative change in the global community.
Throughout her career, Lisa has spoken to audiences globally, including prestigious venues such as the United Nations, Parliament, Nobel Summits, Davos, and the Vatican. Her TED talk, titled “Photos That Bear Witness to Modern Slavery,” has garnered over three million views.
Her work is praised for its profound impact, with David Clarke, former Head of Photography at the Tate Modern, describing it as “a testament to truth and an insightful and inspiring body of evidence.” She has received recognition and endorsements from influential leaders including Pope Francis, The Dalai Lama, and Amnesty International, and has been honored with several accolades, including the Lucie Humanitarian Award at Carnegie Hall.
The Photographic Society of America also recognized Lisa with the IUTP Award, acknowledging her significant contributions to fostering understanding among people and the positive impact of her photography on the world.

The EPIC Summit 2024, scheduled for September 23-25 at the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, California, focuses on inspiring professionals across various industries to enhance their creative leadership skills. This year’s theme is “Distinct Discoveries, A Defining Moment for Creative Leadership.” The summit aims to help attendees disengage from the rapidly changing and tech-driven world in order to discover new insights and catalyze creativity and innovation.
