Honeywell Aerospace proudly announced the successful conclusion of its 2025 AI Hackathon held in Fiji, highlighting the company’s dedication to fostering global innovation, leveraging artificial intelligence, and enhancing talent development in emerging tech sectors.
During this multi-day event, Fijian software engineers, data scientists, and early-career technologists came together to tackle pressing aerospace AI challenges. The participants engaged in projects that focused on areas such as predictive analytics, intelligent automation, and data-driven decision support—efforts that align with Honeywell’s broader vision of digital transformation and a connected enterprise.
The hackathon was backed by significant support from the Honeywell Aerospace team, who provided mentorship in crafting solutions, promoting agile delivery practices, and ensuring that the outcomes met enterprise-level standards for real-world application.
Collaboration was also key, with Pacific Technologies Ltd, a leading Fijian firm specializing in secure banking and digital enterprise solutions, playing an integral role in the event. Plans are already in motion to broaden the scope of hackathons and structured AI training programs, as well as to integrate longer-term digital initiatives into elementary and secondary school curricula.
