Hockey Star Paul Bissonnette Fights Back in Restaurant Brawl

Former NHL player and TNT hockey analyst Paul Bissonnette was involved in a violent altercation with a group of men at a Scottsdale, Arizona, steakhouse on Sunday night. In a video posted on X, Bissonnette recounted how he attempted to assist the restaurant manager, who was being aggressively confronted by one of the men after a friend was asked to leave.

Bissonnette described the restaurant as a family-friendly establishment, noting that the manager appeared startled by the situation. He stepped in, warning the aggressor about his inappropriate behavior towards the staff. Unfortunately, the confrontation escalated into a physical fight that spilled from the restaurant to the parking lot and then to a nearby store. During the melee, Bissonnette sustained several injuries, including kicks to the head, but he also fought back against the seven men involved.

Law enforcement responded to the incident, resulting in the arrest of six individuals on charges related to assault and disorderly conduct.

Bissonnette, who played in the NHL from 2008 to 2014—most notably with the Phoenix Coyotes—has since transitioned to a successful career in broadcasting.

This incident highlights the challenges faced by individuals trying to intervene in acts of aggression and demonstrates the importance of creating safe environments in public spaces. Despite the violence, Bissonnette’s willingness to stand up for the restaurant staff showcases courage and a commitment to maintaining order in his community.

With the involvement of law enforcement, there is hope that such incidents may be addressed swiftly, ensuring that local establishments remain safe and welcoming for families.
