The Fordham University Rams are set to continue their 2025-2026 basketball season on Monday, December 22, as they welcome the University of New Haven Chargers to the historic Rose Hill Gym for an 11:00 a.m. matchup. This exciting game will be broadcast live on SNY and streamed on ESPN+, featuring announcers Andrew Bogusch and Andrew Posadas. Additionally, WFUV (90.7 FM) will provide coverage and stream the game on their YouTube page with Chris Carrino and Tucker Austin announcing.

The Rams enter the contest with a solid record of 8-4, following a decisive 82-53 victory against Manhattan on December 13. Meanwhile, New Haven holds a record of 5-6, coming off a recent loss to NJIT, where they fell 70-64 on December 10. This matchup marks the first-ever meeting between the Rams and the Chargers on the basketball court.

Fordham boasts several key players in top form. Junior forward is making significant contributions, averaging 13.4 points and 10.0 rebounds over the past eight games, including five double-doubles. He has been exceptionally efficient, shooting an impressive 69.7% from the field during this stretch. Senior guard has also been a standout, averaging 18.8 points in his last five games and achieving a career-high of 29 points against UAlbany, alongside averaging 6.8 assists.

Additionally, junior forward has recently matched his career-high by grabbing ten rebounds in a game against Manhattan, and redshirt freshman is averaging 8.8 points over his last four contests. Notably, grad student guard has scored in double figures in every game he has played this season.

New Haven is transitioning into its first year in NCAA Division I after competing in Division II. Fordham has a historical advantage, holding a 54-14 record against teams currently in the Northeast Conference, with this season already featuring wins over Wagner, LIU, and FDU. The 2025-26 Rams team is notable for its inclusion of nine new players, among which are eight transfers, including three graduate transfers. Over the past four years, Fordham has achieved a commendable record of 31-15 at their home gym, further bolstered by the leadership of team captains: grad guards and, and junior forward.
