Hikuleo’s WWE Debut: Bloodline Connection or Standalone Star?

Former New Japan Pro-Wrestling talent Hikuleo is set to make his WWE debut as he attends the upcoming episode of “WWE SmackDown” this Friday in Lexington, Kentucky. This news comes nearly a year after his signing with WWE, although he has been part of the internal roster for several months without previous creative plans for his character.

Wrestling fans had speculated that Hikuleo might join The Bloodline, a faction that includes his brothers Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa, following his signing. This speculation gained traction especially after dramatic story developments at WWE Money in the Bank, where tensions boiled over within The Bloodline. During the event, WWE United States Champion Jacob Fatu appeared to thwart his cousin Solo Sikoa’s attempt to claim the Men’s Money in the Bank briefcase, resulting in a heated exchange that hinted at internal conflicts.

In his eight years with NJPW, Hikuleo garnered numerous accolades, including winning the NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championship and the IWGP Tag Team Championship. He also made guest appearances in notable organizations such as TNA Wrestling and AEW. The potential storyline connections to The Bloodline create intrigue for fans, especially after fellow NJPW alumnus Jeff Cobb, now known as JC Mateo, joined The Bloodline by assisting Fatu at WWE Backlash.

As Hikuleo prepares to step into the WWE spotlight, fans are hopeful for a compelling storyline that may intertwine with the ongoing dynamics of The Bloodline, potentially setting the stage for an exciting chapter in his wrestling career. The anticipation surrounding his appearance reflects the growing interest in WWE’s evolving narratives, especially in a period marked by unexpected twists and character developments.
