Wildlight Entertainment has officially unveiled the PC specifications required to play their much-anticipated free-to-play PvP raid shooter, Highguard. Developed by a team of veterans from Apex Legends and Titanfall, the game places players in the role of Wardens—arcane gunslingers tasked with dominating a mythical continent through intense battles against enemy crews.

In Highguard, players will engage in thrilling gameplay that involves riding, fighting, and raiding to secure possession of the powerful Shieldbreaker and to establish control over enemy bases. The game promises a unique blend of action similar to popular titles like Battlefield 6 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which also necessitate the use of Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 for enhanced security.

Secure Boot is a crucial feature compatible with most modern systems, ensuring that only certified programs can launch during startup, safeguarding against potential threats like rootkits and viruses. Similarly, TPM 2.0, a security chip integral to many devices, works in conjunction with the operating system to protect sensitive information. Notably, TPM 2.0 is also a prerequisite for running Windows 11, which many players will likely already have enabled.

To run Highguard, players will need a minimum setup that includes an Intel Core i5-6600K or AMD Ryzen R5 1600 processor, 8 GB of RAM, and a graphics card such as the Nvidia GTX 1060 or AMD RX 580, alongside 25 GB of available disk space. For a more optimal experience, the developers recommend upgrading to at least an Intel Core i5-9600K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600, with 12 GB of RAM and an Nvidia RTX 2080 or AMD RX 6650 XT.

Highguard is set to debut on January 26th, although some fans are cautiously speculating about a possible delay, given the lack of updates since its initial announcement at the Video Game Awards 2026.

As the gaming community eagerly awaits further news, the excitement for Highguard grows, promising an exhilarating new addition to the shooter genre.
