The High Court is set to hear the case of Anare Vuli Cilicewa, who is accused of killing his de-facto partner in October 2024. The proceedings began today before Justice Pita Bulamainaivalu, where it was confirmed that 29 state witnesses will be called to testify.

State Counsel Zenith Zunaid announced that the prosecution plans to present a DNA report as part of its evidence in the case. The trial is projected to span a month and is scheduled to commence in April.

The court will reconvene on March 3 for additional directions regarding the trial. Meanwhile, Cilicewa remains in custody following his remand.
