Heraeus (Zhaoyuan) Precious Metal Materials has officially inaugurated its new innovation center in Zhaoyuan, Shandong province, as announced on Tuesday. As a notable Sino-foreign joint venture in China’s gold application sector and a subsidiary of the renowned German technology group Heraeus, the opening of this facility marks a significant advancement for the company.
The newly operational innovation center is equipped with state-of-the-art research and development tools and hosts a skilled technical team. Its primary objectives include fostering innovations in semiconductor materials, enhancing market competitiveness, and providing support to key industries such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and big data.
This year is particularly significant for Heraeus as it commemorates 30 years of operations in China. Ai Zhouping, the president of Heraeus Greater China, emphasized that both the anniversary and the establishment of the innovation center reflect a major milestone in the company’s ongoing commitment to investment, development, and innovation within the Chinese market. He noted that the company intends to continue its collaborative efforts between its Chinese and German partners while promoting high-quality growth across various sectors, particularly in semiconductors.
Over the past thirty years, Heraeus has expanded its product offerings from a single gold wire to over 20 types of products, including wires made from gold, silver, copper, and aluminum. This growth demonstrates the company’s adaptability and dedication to meeting the evolving needs of the industry, paving the way for future advancements and collaborations.
