Tobin Heath and Christen Press, stars of the U.S. Women’s National Team, are expanding their influence in women’s sports media by partnering with audio company Audacy for their weekly video podcast, “The RE-CAP Show.” Under this new collaboration, Audacy will handle the distribution of the podcast and manage global advertising sales, although the financial details have not been revealed.

Since its inception in 2023, “The RE-CAP Show” has focused on providing an insider’s view of global women’s soccer and has already garnered a substantial following, boasting over 120,000 followers on Instagram. Audacy, which operates 230 radio stations with a strong emphasis on sports, aims to enhance its offerings in women’s sports, with Heath and Press at the forefront of this initiative.

Leah Reis-Dennis, Head of Podcasts at Audacy, has expressed excitement about including Heath and Press in their women’s sports portfolio. She emphasized their global recognition not only as top athletes but also as influential figures in women’s sports culture. Heath reflected on their decision to partner with Audacy, noting a readiness to elevate their show amid increased interest.

The creation of their company and the RE brand in 2019 stemmed from Press’s observations of bird migration patterns, emphasizing how one bold move can inspire others. Press underscored the importance of media equity in addressing pay disparity in women’s sports, presenting their podcast as an endeavor to establish a unique narrative free from traditional male-dominated models.

Audacy recognizes the gap in its sports portfolio, particularly in women’s soccer, and is committed to introducing casual sports fans to women’s sports content through platforms they already engage with, such as local sports radio stations. There has been a noticeable rise in interest in women’s sports, especially following notable performances like that of Caitlin Clark, prompting brands to align themselves with this growing segment.
