Bobby Flay has shared a heartfelt tribute to Anne Burrell, following the shocking news of her passing on June 17 at the age of 55. The talented chef was found unconscious in her New York home, leading to an outpouring of memories and condolences from friends and colleagues.

Flay took to Instagram on June 18, just a day after Burrell’s death, to reflect on their time together as co-hosts on the Food Network show “Worst Cooks in America.” He reminisced about the fun they had on the show, stating, “Worst Cooks in America was the funnest show on TV. All of your co-hosts (me included) were just alongside for the Anne Burrell ride.”

Additionally, Flay expressed his gratitude for the joy Burrell brought into his life, mentioning her influence in introducing him to Maine Coon cats, including his own orange cat, Nacho. He shared a joyful photo of Burrell surrounded by her beloved cats, noting her passion for these animals.

Tributes continued to flow from others in the culinary community, including Rachael Ray, who served as a bridesmaid at Burrell’s wedding in October 2021. In her emotional tribute, she remembered Burrell as a “strong, vibrant, fearless woman” and reflected on their bond formed through their experiences on “Worst Cooks in America.”

Burrell’s unexpected passing has left many, including her husband Stuart Claxton, in mourning. A 911 call report revealed concerns of a potential cardiac arrest prior to the arrival of medical responders. The official cause of death has yet to be confirmed.

This tragic event serves as a reminder of the impact individuals can have on our lives and the preciousness of friendship. The legacy of joy and inspiration that Anne Burrell leaves behind will be cherished by all who knew her.
