In an engaging early Valentine’s Day celebration, CU Denver Future Doctors and the Minority Association of Pre-Health Students organized a fun-filled event in North Classroom. Students participated in heart-themed trivia, enjoyed delicious mochi doughnuts, and competed for prizes, including stuffed animals awarded to the top three trivia contestants. This event not only fostered a sense of community, but also served as a reminder of the importance of heart health, as participants learned that the average human heart beats between two to three billion times in a lifetime and pumps approximately 7,500 liters of blood daily.
This gathering was just one of many on-campus activities dedicated to cultivating friendships and promoting learning. The campus also welcomed therapy dogs, providing comfort during the chilly weather, while students devoted time to crafting heartfelt cards for the Love for Our Elders Organization. These personalized messages were a testament to the students’ creativity and compassion.
For those interested in engaging further, the organizing groups are currently seeking applications for new officers. To keep abreast of all campus happenings, students are encouraged to check CU Denver’s events calendar regularly.
Overall, these events reflect a vibrant community spirit at CU Denver, bringing students together through compassion, creativity, and fun as they celebrate friendship and shared experiences.
