Fox News chief political anchor Bret Baier is set to interview Vice President Kamala Harris on October 16 in Pennsylvania, a pivotal state where she currently holds a 4-point lead over presidential rival Donald Trump. This interview will air at 6 p.m. ET during “Special Report with Bret Baier” and marks Harris’ first formal engagement with the network.
As the election approaches, the race in Pennsylvania has shown signs of tightening, with recent polls indicating that the competition is virtually neck-and-neck. Trump has also announced plans to campaign in Pennsylvania soon, while Harris’s running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, will focus on events in Wisconsin.
In addition to the Fox News interview, Harris has been actively engaging with various media platforms. Recently, on October 6, she appeared on Alex Cooper’s popular podcast “Call Her Daddy,” which has a significant following on Spotify among female-hosted shows.
Furthermore, Harris is scheduled to join Charlamagne Tha God on “The Breakfast Club” podcast for a Detroit town hall on October 16. This event will be streamed live on the iHeartRadio app and will allow her to answer questions from Detroit voters, aiming to strengthen her slender 2-point lead over Trump in Michigan.
Notably, Trump withdrew from a planned interview with “60 Minutes” on October 1, which would have been one of his final appearances before election day. After “60 Minutes” announced that both candidates were expected to appear, Trump’s communication director criticized the show on social media, claiming there were no confirmed arrangements and alleging a history of bias against Trump.
