Harris Faces Fox First: A Battle for Pennsylvania’s Heart

Fox News announced on Monday that Vice President Kamala Harris will be interviewed by chief political anchor Bret Baier on Wednesday, October 16, at 6 p.m. ET. This marks Harris’s first formal interview on the network and will take place in Pennsylvania, a key battleground state. The interview will be pre-recorded on Wednesday afternoon and aired during Special Report with Bret Baier, which will be anchored from Philadelphia.

In recent weeks, Harris has increased her media appearances alongside her running mate, Tim Walz. During the week of October 7, Harris participated in a 60 Minutes interview that aired on Monday night, was featured on ABC’s The View and CBS’s The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday, and took part in a Univision-hosted town hall moderated by Enrique Acevedo on Thursday. Additionally, she called into CNN and The Weather Channel on Wednesday as Hurricane Milton approached Florida.

Walz has also been active on Fox News, appearing on Fox News Sunday with Shannon Bream for two consecutive weeks. Upcoming media engagements for Harris include a CNN-hosted town hall scheduled for October 23 in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, as the campaign season heats up.

In a related note, her opponent, former President Donald Trump, will take part in a Fox News town hall moderated by Harris Faulkner on Tuesday, October 15, at 11 a.m. ET during the program Faulkner Focus.
