The Kamala Harris campaign is reportedly in discussions with Joe Rogan’s team regarding a potential appearance by the vice president on his popular podcast.

According to reports, Harris’s team met with Rogan’s crew this week to explore the opportunity. The vice president is aiming to enhance her appeal to male voters, and Rogan’s show, The Joe Rogan Experience, boasts a predominantly male audience, with 81 percent of listeners and over 50 percent under the age of 35, based on a YouGov poll. Recently, Harris also attracted attention for her appearance on Alex Cooper’s podcast, Call Her Daddy, which caters to a younger female demographic.

Harris has faced criticism for primarily engaging with media outlets that are considered friendly to her campaign. However, as the election approaches and polling becomes more competitive, she has begun making appearances in more challenging environments, including an interview on 60 Minutes and a segment set to air on Fox News.

In August, Rogan hosted third-party candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who has since withdrawn from the race. In 2020, he also featured Bernie Sanders during the Democratic primary campaign.

Harris’s potential appearance on Rogan’s podcast would be somewhat unexpected due to the host’s fluctuating acceptance of right-wing perspectives and conspiracy theories. Rogan is known for discussing a wide range of topics, whereas Harris’s team has typically preferred to keep her media engagements within a controlled scope. It remains to be seen if both sides can reach a mutual agreement on this collaboration.

Neither camp has confirmed or denied the reports about the discussions.
