Harris Eyeing Rogan: A Bold Move to Capture Male Voters?

The Kamala Harris campaign is reportedly in discussions with Joe Rogan’s team about the possibility of the Vice President appearing on his popular podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. This meeting took place this week, according to sources.

Harris is looking to enhance her appeal among male voters, and Rogan’s podcast is particularly influential, boasting an audience that is predominantly male, with around 81 percent of listeners and more than half under 35 years old, according to a YouGov poll. Recently, Harris gained attention for appearing on Alex Cooper’s podcast, Call Her Daddy, which caters to a young female demographic.

The Vice President has faced criticism for primarily engaging with media outlets seen as supportive of her candidacy. However, as the election approaches and polls become tighter, she has ventured into more challenging media appearances, including an interview on 60 Minutes and a scheduled appearance on Fox News.

In August, Rogan hosted third-party candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who has since exited the race. Previously, in 2020, he interviewed Bernie Sanders during the Democratic primary.

Harris appearing on Rogan’s show would be noteworthy considering Rogan’s occasional alignment with right-wing viewpoints and controversial topics, including doubts about the Apollo 11 moon landing. Moreover, Rogan typically encourages open discussions without restrictions, contrasting with how Harris’s team has aimed to keep her in safer conversation areas during her media engagements. It remains to be seen if the two sides will reach an agreement for the appearance.

Neither Harris nor Rogan’s representatives have confirmed or denied these discussions.
