Hannah Stuelke Lands on Katrina McClain Watch List as Iowa Gears Up for Season Tip-Off

IOWA CITY, Iowa — Hannah Stuelke, a forward for the University of Iowa women’s basketball team, has earned recognition as one of the candidates for the Katrina McClain Power Forward of the Year Preseason Watch List, as announced by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame on Thursday. This acknowledgment comes alongside her selection as a first-team Preseason All-Big Ten player by both coaches and media earlier this month.

The Cedar Rapids, Iowa native enters her senior year as Iowa’s leading scorer and rebounder, having averaged 12.7 points and 7.7 rebounds per game last season. Stuelke started in 32 games during the 2024-25 season and has been honored with second-team All-Big Ten accolades for two consecutive years. Additionally, she made a significant impact during her freshman year, when she was recognized as the Big Ten Sixth Player of the Year.

Stuelke is among a select group, being one of only 20 Hawkeyes in program history to surpass 1,100 career points and 600 rebounds. This feat showcases her consistency and skill on the court as she continues to build her legacy at Iowa.

The Hawkeyes are gearing up to face Ashland University tonight in an exhibition match scheduled for 6:30 p.m. (CT) on B1G+. Fans will be eager to see Stuelke and her teammates in action as they kick off their season with high hopes and excitement.
