DDG began by addressing his supporters, explaining that he and Bailey reached the decision to part ways after considerable thought and sincere discussions. He emphasized that this choice was challenging, but they believed it was the right direction for both of them. DDG expressed appreciation for the time they shared, saying, “Despite the changes in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true. We are still best friends and adore each other.”
He concluded by mentioning their intention to focus on their respective individual paths while co-parenting effectively. DDG noted the importance of their bond and requested understanding and support as they move through this transition. As of now, Bailey has not publicly commented on the breakup.
Bailey and DDG were first rumored to be dating in January 2022 when they were spotted together at a concert. DDG later confirmed their relationship in March 2022 with a birthday post for Bailey, where he praised her as “the beautifulest, the flyest, the sweetest.” The couple made their red carpet debut a few months later at the BET Awards in June.
