Rockstar Games has once again made a nod to Red Dead Redemption 2 within the world of GTA Online. Following previous Easter eggs linking the two titles, the latest update, titled “A Safehouse in the Hills,” continues this trend by integrating references to characters from Red Dead into the new features of GTA Online.

The update, released on Wednesday, allows players to buy luxury mansions complete with extensive customization options and elaborate interior designs. As players explore the various decorative items for their new homes, one particular piece of artwork caught attention. Titled “In The Shade,” this painting is attributed to C. Châtenay, a character from Red Dead Redemption 2 who is known for his role in The Artist’s Way mission. Notably, this painting can be found in the iconic Braithwaite Manor within the earlier title, although it is important to clarify that this piece was not originally created by Charles Châtenay.

To access the customization options for the mansions, players need to be inside their new abode and navigate through the interaction menu to select mansion management, followed by customization and then decorations. The painting referencing Red Dead 2 can be discovered by scrolling to the bottom of the entrance painting menu.

This clever integration of content between the two games hints at Rockstar’s continued effort to connect their gaming universes. Additionally, the update includes elements that may pave the way for upcoming downloadable content (DLC), potentially teasing players with the promise of more missions to come before the release of GTA 6.

As Rockstar Games continues to innovate and expand its gaming universe, fans eagerly anticipate what new features and connections will be unveiled in future updates to GTA Online.
