GTA 6 Leak Teases Pre-Alpha Footage as Release Is Delayed

Recent leaks surrounding Grand Theft Auto 6 have resurfaced, capturing the attention of gamers once again. This new leak, while sparking excitement, has yet to unveil substantial new information about the highly anticipated title. During the Thanksgiving weekend, sharp-eyed users on Reddit discovered a demo reel from former Rockstar Games animator Benjamin Chue. The two-minute reel showcased animations from various titles including GTA 5, Max Payne 3, and Red Dead Redemption 2, but notably featured three clips that appear to be from pre-alpha footage of GTA 6. Although the original post was quickly removed, astute Redditors managed to share mirrors of the footage online.

One of the clips reveals a male character interacting with a “LomBike,” likely a playful nod to the real-world LimeBike rental service. In the clip, he detaches the bike from its docking station, turns it around, and rides it before returning it to its dock. The remaining clips depict a female character exiting a pick-up truck in two distinct manners: one involves her swinging her legs out from the bed and jumping down, while the other shows her leaping off the roof into the bed before vaulting to the ground.

These animations align with the Grand Theft Auto series’ emphasis on dynamic gameplay, where players have long been able to hijack vehicles and climb on or off them. The inclusion of rental bikes, hinted at in the footage and previously teased in official screenshots, suggests exciting new gameplay mechanics for the upcoming release.

This leak emerges amidst the backdrop of earlier reports of AI-generated “leaks” that circulated on social media, which were later revealed to be entirely fabricated by a user known as Zap Actu GTA6. The user has since removed all content and pledged to focus on genuine news and theories surrounding GTA 6.

Adding to the intrigue, Rockstar Games has recently postponed the release of GTA 6 from May 26, 2026, to November 19, 2026. Analysts suggest that this delay may have implications for the launch of the next PlayStation and Xbox consoles, with potential losses for Rockstar Games estimated at $60 million. The company has also faced scrutiny due to the dismissal of several staff members, adding another layer of complexity to the game’s development process.

As anticipation builds for GTA 6, the leaks, whether real or speculative, keep the conversation alive among the gaming community, fueling hopes and excitement for what lies ahead in one of the industry’s most beloved franchises.
