The FSIS began its investigation upon being alerted to these illnesses on November 13, and testing confirmed the presence of E. coli O157:H7, a dangerous strain, in a sample from the company.
Wolverine Packing Co. has reached out to all customers who received the recalled products and is conducting an extensive internal audit to examine its suppliers and production processes, reinforcing its quality control measures for safety.
