The Congresswoman questioned the U.S. government’s reluctance to take military action against foreign cartels and criticized the Trump administration’s approach to drug-related prosecutions and pardons, including references to former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández. Greene also connected calls for regime change in Venezuela with the desire to control the country’s oil resources, arguing that removing President Nicolás Maduro would facilitate broader strategic goals that may lead to further international conflicts.
Her statement raised concerns about perceived inconsistencies in U.S. foreign policy, spotlighting the differential treatment of American military interventions compared to actions taken by nations like Russia and China.
