Every day, I am profoundly grateful for my roots in Arkansas and for the opportunity to have spent the majority of my life in this remarkable state.
On this special day dedicated to friends, family, and gratitude, I want to express my appreciation for several aspects of my life.
First and foremost, I am thankful for the privilege of working with the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. This organization remains steadfast in its commitment to core values, navigating challenges of the internet and political landscapes without compromising its integrity. The distinction between news and opinion is meticulously preserved here, with a strong emphasis on objective reporting.
I also want to acknowledge the hard work of my colleagues, particularly those in the sports department, who consistently produce one of the best sports sections in the nation. Their dedication and talent are commendable and add significant value to our publication.
On a personal note, I am incredibly thankful for my family, who is my anchor and support.
Lastly, my gratitude extends to living in the United States, which I believe to be the greatest country in the world.
This reflection serves as a reminder of the many blessings found in our daily lives and the importance of valuing community, integrity, and family connections. There’s always a reason to be hopeful, as we can continue to work together to uplift and support one another in this vibrant community.
