In a demonstration of Project Mariner, a Chrome extension was shown to take over web navigation to assist users in practical tasks. During the demo, the agent successfully logged into a user’s Sainsbury’s account and managed grocery selections, even autonomously making appropriate substitutions for unavailable items. While still in development, these advancements suggest a favorable trajectory for AI technology in enhancing daily tasks for users.
