Manatee County, Florida – Despite recent challenging weather conditions, Manatee County officials are proceeding with their annual Halloween celebration. The 22nd Goblin Gathering is set to take place in the wooded area of G.T. Bray Park on October 25, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Initially scheduled for earlier in the month, the event was postponed due to Hurricane Milton.
Local businesses and community partners will be providing treats for attendees, offering a safe trick-or-treating alternative for families. Thankfully, crews have cleared the debris, enabling the return of popular activities such as bounce houses, face painting, a petting zoo, and performances by a magician, along with ample free candy for participants.
Registration for the costume contest will open at 5 p.m., with judging scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Contest categories include:
– 1 year and under
– 2 to 4 years old
– 5 to 8 years old
