Goa has positioned itself as a national frontrunner in service delivery reforms and innovations, as highlighted by Governor P Ashok Gajapathi Raju during his Republic Day address. He praised the state’s consistent economic growth, underlining the recent influx of significant investments in infrastructure and the resultant expansion of employment opportunities.
In front of notable attendees, including Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Union Minister Shripad Naik, Raju discussed the advancements made in improving the ease of doing business, the expansion of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and various regulatory reforms. He emphasized the unprecedented progress made in crucial sectors such as road development, water supply, and renewable energy, which collectively enhance the quality of life for residents and strengthen the state’s economic competitiveness.
The governor also expressed his appreciation for the Mhaje Ghar scheme, which aims to regularize housing established before 1972, offering both emotional and legal relief to many families. The initiatives undertaken by the state government reflect a firm commitment to social justice, promoting rural development, fostering financial inclusion, and empowering women through skill development and entrepreneurship programs.
This positive trajectory indicates that Goa is not only making strides in economic development but also prioritizing the well-being of its citizens, marking a hopeful outlook for the state’s future.
