U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has announced the launch of a new Global Entry Enrollment Center at Charleston International Airport, South Carolina. This marks the expansion of the Trusted Traveler Program in the Low Country region, enhancing access for international travelers. This new addition increases the number of Global Entry Enrollment Centers in the Southeast to three, joining existing locations in Charlotte, NC, and Atlanta, GA.
The Charleston center, located at 5551 Porsche Blvd Suite 102, North Charleston, SC, will operate Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This initiative underscores CBP’s commitment to facilitating smoother and more accessible international travel in the Southeast, responding to the growing demand for the Global Entry program.
Gregory Alveraz, CBP’s Atlanta Director of Field Operations, expressed that this addition reflects CBP’s ongoing efforts to enhance convenience and accessibility for travelers. Enrollment appointments at the new Charleston location are now open for booking via the official Trusted Traveler Program website.
Prospective applicants must bring a current passport, driver’s license, and proof of residency to their interviews to complete their enrollment. The Global Entry program is designed to expedite the customs clearance process for pre-approved, low-risk travelers arriving in the United States. The process involves comprehensive background checks and an in-person interview. Once approved, members enjoy reduced wait times and the convenience of automated kiosks at select airports.
This expansion is expected to further streamline international travel for program members, showcasing CBP’s dedication to improving traveler experience and efficient processing at major airports.
