Virginia Roberts Giuffre’s posthumous memoir, “Nobody’s Girl,” has achieved remarkable success, selling one million copies globally within just two months of its release. Published by Alfred A Knopf in early October and co-authored with journalist Amy Wallace, the book has generated significant sales, particularly in North America, where it is now in its tenth printing following an initial run of 70,000 copies.

The memoir has reignited conversations surrounding Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, a former British prince, whom Giuffre accused of having sex with her when she was 17. The release of “Nobody’s Girl” has led to increased calls for the Justice Department to release its files on Jeffrey Epstein, who infamously died by suicide in prison in 2019 while awaiting trial for sex trafficking charges.

Giuffre’s family, grappling with their loss after her tragic death in April at age 41, expressed a mixture of pride and sorrow in a statement. “This is a bittersweet moment for us. We are enormously proud of our sister and the impact she continues to have on the world,” they said. They are committed to ensuring her voice endures beyond her passing.

The week following the release of Giuffre’s memoir saw King Charles III strip Mountbatten-Windsor of his remaining titles and remove him from royal residence. Although he has consistently denied Giuffre’s allegations, he resigned from royal duties after a controversial BBC interview in 2019. In 2022, he reached an out-of-court settlement with Giuffre for millions of dollars, wherein he did not admit guilt but recognized her suffering as a victim of sex trafficking.

However, Giuffre’s family expressed their “deep disappointment” after the announcement from the Metropolitan police that Mountbatten-Windsor would not face a criminal investigation in the UK regarding the allegations against him. Despite this setback, the resonating impact of Giuffre’s words through her memoir highlights her bravery and the ongoing fight for justice.
