Giggly Squad is returning to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, this time in a new role as guest announcers. Podcast hosts and former Summer House stars Paige DeSorbo and Hannah Berner will fill in for Steve Higgins, Fallon’s longtime sidekick, who is on a planned break and is expected back on Monday, August 4.
The duo, who gained popularity during their time on Bravo’s Summer House, have transitioned to podcasting with Giggly Squad, achieving immense success that includes sold-out live performances, a bestselling book, and nationwide tours. Their chemistry and humor captured the attention of the Tonight Show team during their previous appearance together in April, where they participated in a charades game with celebrities like Jon Hamm and Patrick Schwarzenegger.
Following their guest appearances this week, the announcing duties will be handed over to Tariq Trotter, known as Black Thought, who has a history of stepping in for Higgins.
Tonight’s guests on The Tonight Show include Sam Rockwell, Alison Brie, and Drew Dunn, showcasing a star-studded lineup. The show airs weeknights at 11:35/10:35c on NBC and is available for streaming on Peacock.
This opportunity highlights the growing crossover appeal of podcast hosts into mainstream television, as audiences continue to embrace their entertaining personalities in various formats.
