In a heartfelt message shared on Instagram, Goodwin expressed his gratitude to the media for their outreach while emphasizing his inability to discuss the situation at this time. The turmoil began with the arrest of his estranged wife, Victoria Goodwin, on March 6 in Clark County, Nevada. She faced serious charges, including solicitation to commit murder and conspiracy to murder, after being accused of contacting an inmate in a Florida prison with intentions to have Goodwin killed.
