Warner Bros. Pictures has announced an expansion of the upcoming film “F1: The Movie,” set to hit IMAX theaters in greater numbers than initially planned. Due to overwhelming interest, the film will now see advanced screenings at 400 IMAX locations worldwide on June 23 at 7:00 p.m. local time, ahead of its broader international release on June 25 and in the U.S. and Canada on June 27. The demand is evident, as the initial 25 IMAX screenings sold out quickly.
Tickets for both the advanced IMAX showings and regular screenings will go on sale starting May 21. The film, which stars Brad Pitt as an F1 driver facing a career crisis due to a past accident, is directed by Joseph Kosinski, best known for his work on hits like “Top Gun: Maverick.”
In addition to its theatrical release, “F1: The Movie” will eventually be available for streaming on Apple TV+. The service offers a subscription model at $9.99 per month, along with a free seven-day trial, and is accessible on various devices and through the Apple TV app.
