Georgia’s football team has officially secured its spot in the College Football Playoffs, clinching the No. 2 seed. The Bulldogs are set to face off against the victor of the matchup between No. 7 Notre Dame and No. 10 Indiana.
The exciting quarterfinal game for Georgia will kick off at 8:45 p.m. ET on January 1, airing live on ABC. Before that, the Notre Dame-Indiana game is scheduled for December 20 at 8 p.m. ET, with Notre Dame taking the home advantage as the higher seed. The teams hosting the first round include Texas, Penn State, Notre Dame, and Ohio State.
Following their recent triumph in the SEC Championship game, where they defeated Texas 22-19 in an overtime thriller, Georgia is gearing up for the Sugar Bowl. This victory not only highlights their competitive prowess but also offers the team some much-needed rest, especially important for recovering from injuries sustained by key players, including quarterback Carson Beck and punter Brett Thorson.
