The Geminid meteor shower is already active, having begun on December 4, and is anticipated to continue through December 17. Notably, while a waning crescent moon could pose a challenge for visibility during the shower’s peak, there is still a strong chance to see the meteors, particularly by observing in a westward direction after the moon rises around 2 a.m. local time.
