On February 13, women filled Orland Ale House in Orland Park to celebrate Galentine’s Day, a day dedicated to honoring female friendships. This joyful event stretched across the popular venue located at 14225 S. 95th Ave, inviting women to connect and uplift one another through communal activities and festive libations.
Galentine’s Day, which originated as a fictional celebration from the television series Parks and Recreation, has blossomed into a cherished tradition worldwide, occurring annually on the eve of Valentine’s Day. As women gathered, the atmosphere resonated with laughter, shared stories, and clinking glasses, reinforcing the importance of camaraderie.
Inside Orland Ale House, attendees had the pleasure of crafting cocktails during a special cocktail-making class organized by the establishment’s General Manager, Kris Muschler. Participants sampled delicious drinks such as Cupid Mimosas, layered margaritas combined with cabernet named “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off,” and a visually stunning “Chocolate Covered Strawberry Martini.” Muschler’s engaging approach not only taught attendees how to create these festive beverages but also helped cultivate a spirited community atmosphere.
Guests donned coordinated outfits, overwhelmingly featuring shades of pink and red, underscoring the celebratory vibe of the night. Diana Butcher expressed the essence of the occasion perfectly, noting the value of supporting one another as women through life’s varied stages.
The event’s momentum continued into a lively Music Bingo session, ensuring the festivities carried on long into the evening. The celebration provided women an opportunity to step away from their daily routines, share heartfelt moments, and create lasting memories. Attendee Cheryl D-Aguanno emphasized the enjoyment of this special night out with friends.
Orland Ale House, rebranded in November 2022 from its previous name, Brass Tap, has solidified its role as a community gathering spot since opening in December 2014. Muschler highlighted the warmth and friendliness of the Orland Park community, showcasing the significance of forming bonds through fun occasions like Galentine’s Day.
As Galentine’s Day continues to gain traction, events like the one at Orland Ale House serve to remind women of the strength in their friendships and the importance of cherishing these relationships not just on this special day, but every day of the year. The gathering underscored the joyful spirit of female companionship, promising a positive outlook on the beauty of shared experiences.
