Paramount Pictures has officially announced the title and details for their upcoming spy movie starring Gal Gadot, known for her role as Wonder Woman. The film, titled “Recovery Agent,” is based on the popular book series by bestselling author Janet Evanovich.

The adaptation will be produced by Paramount Pictures alongside Carol Mendelsohn and Julie Weitz through their Carol Mendelsohn Productions. The first book in the series, “The Recovery Agent,” was released in 2022, followed by the sequel, “The King’s Ransom,” published last November.

In addition to her leading role, Gadot will also serve as a producer through her production company, Pilot Wave, in partnership with Jaron Varsano. Gadot’s experience in the spy genre includes her recent performance in Netflix’s “Heart of Stone” and her appearance in Julian Schnabel’s film “In the Hand of Dante” alongside Jason Momoa and Oscar Isaac. Beyond “Recovery Agent,” she is also set to star in the action thriller “The Runner” for Amazon MGM Studios.

The premise of the book follows Gabriela Rose, a skilled recovery agent who specializes in retrieving lost treasures and assets. In her latest mission, Gabriela must overcome personal stakes as she embarks on a quest to save her family’s home from being demolished. This journey takes her to the jungles of Peru in search of the Seal of Solomon and the legendary treasure of Cortez. Complications arise when she teams up with her ex-husband, Rafer, who possesses a crucial map leading to the treasure. While the two share a contentious history, their combined skills may be the key to overcoming a ruthless drug lord also in pursuit of the treasure.

The film promises a mix of action, adventure, and a bit of humor, showcasing Gadot’s talents in a character-driven story full of twists and turns. With the project already generating excitement, “Recovery Agent” is poised to enthrall audiences with its engaging narrative and dynamic performances.
