Gaga’s Glamorous Twist on Harley Quinn at ‘Joker’ Premiere Sparks Buzz

Lady Gaga is keeping her approach to method dressing balanced. At the Los Angeles premiere of “Joker: Folie à Deux,” she showcased a Hollywood-inspired take on Harley Quinn glamour, wearing a custom Celine gown. The dress featured a column silhouette that highlighted dramatic draped sleeves, resembling a cape at the back. Gaga’s deep red hair was styled less dramatically than her London appearance but still referenced her character, Harley Quinn. She accessorized with layered necklaces and bracelets from Tiffany & Co. and opted for a black manicure.

This look marked a more sophisticated variation of Gaga’s recent method dressing, lacking the full Harley Quinn makeup she donned in London, yet still incorporating edgy elements, such as bleached eyebrows, giving her a high-fashion villainess vibe.

Last week in London, Gaga, alongside co-star Joaquin Phoenix, wore another striking Celine outfit, a bold pleated ball gown paired with a structured coat, while her shaggy hair and makeup contributed to the Joker theme.

At a photo call the next morning, Gaga continued to embrace the theme with a creative outfit that included a patterned shirt dress, sheer socks, and black Marc Jacobs Kiki boots.

During her time in London, Gaga reflected on her experience portraying Harley Quinn, her first acting role since 2021’s “House of Gucci.” She expressed her deep connection to the character, stating, “I don’t really know if I did because I’ve made a whole record about her.” She emphasized the joy of discovering Harley Quinn through various artistic channels like music, script, and dance.
