The No. 16 Florida State baseball team is set to kick off the 2026 season with an exciting three-game series against James Madison from February 13-15 at Dick Howser Stadium in Tallahassee, Florida. The first game is slated for 6 p.m. ET on Friday, February 13, followed by a 2 p.m. game on Saturday, February 14, and concluding with a 1 p.m. matchup on Sunday, February 15.

Fans interested in attending can find limited tickets available at Seminoles.com/Tickets or by contacting the FSU ticket office. Notably, entry is free for all FSU students presenting their FSUID, and gates at the stadium will open an hour prior to the start of each game. The opening day will feature a schedule magnet giveaway for the first 1,000 fans, and it will also be a double Spear It Rewards game for students. The Marching Chiefs will perform pregame, enhancing the festive atmosphere.

Each Saturday home game is designated as Military Saturday, featuring military recognitions and the classic “God Bless America” during the seventh-inning stretch, while every Sunday game will celebrate as Sunday Funday, allowing kids in little league jerseys free admission and a chance to run the bases postgame. Mardi Gras beads will be handed out on Sundays while supplies last.

The series will be broadcast live on ACC Network Extra, accessible through participating television providers or ESPN+ subscriptions. Additionally, fans can listen to the games via the Seminole Sports Network, with specific stations designated for each match. Live statistics will also be available throughout the weekend.

On the mound, junior left-hander will take the opening day start for the Seminoles against James Madison’s junior righty Griffin Polley. The matchup this year is a rematch of last season’s opener, where FSU swept the Dukes in three games. Florida State and James Madison have faced off to start the season in four of the last five years.

Entering the 2026 season, Florida State is coming off back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Super Regionals, boasting a strong record of 42-16 in 2025 and finishing second in the ACC, their best league finish since 2014. This year’s roster sees 16 returning players alongside 22 newcomers, marking a significant turnover following a historic 2025 MLB Draft which saw 11 FSU players selected.

Under the leadership of head coach, Florida State’s baseball program has experienced considerable success, including a remarkable 415-262 overall record in his coaching career. The Seminoles are well-regarded in national rankings, sitting at No. 16 in D1Baseball’s Preseason Top-25, with other rankings placing them as high as No. 9 by Perfect Game.

As the season unfolds, fans can anticipate exciting matchups and the building of new rivalries, all while celebrating the long-standing tradition of Florida State baseball. The positive outlook for the team, coupled with the enthusiastic support of fans, sets the stage for a thrilling 2026 campaign.
